About Us
Association of Positive People for Living Excellence (APPLE)
To improving the survival of quality of life of people living with HIV/AIDS.
Association of Positive People for Living Excellence – APPLE is a nonprofit organization established in the year 2003 in West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh. In year 2002 nearly ten people living with HIV/AIDS who experienced the stigma and discrimination and other related consequences came together and stared working collectively with common goal i.e. to ensure the quality of life for people living with HIV and address the issues in West Godavari District. We established as Network for the people living with HIV in West Godavari Dist. and initiated welfare activities since November 2003 with community members those who are affected with HIV epidemic. OBJECTIVES Objectives: 1. To improve the quality of life of people living with HIV. 2. To provide the health services. 3. To provide necessary information for the needy to access their rights and entitlements. 4. To empower HIV affected people in order to protect their fundamental human right through main streaming process. 5. To create enabling environment to active participation in social events and government welfare programs. 6. To create platforms to address their issues and strengthen towards the problems solving among the PLHIV communities. 7. To create Divisional and Mandal level networks to raise their voice and asserting their rights and entitlements. 8. To enhancing the capacities among the PLHIV communities to live with good socio-economic condition.

OUR VISION
Our vision is to prevent HIV infection in the community and to empower and uplift people infected and affected by HIV/AID and other vulnerable communities.
OUR MISSION
To improve the quality of life of People living with HIV in the district and provide a sense of belongingness among and their families for fully and active participation in society and also to reduce further HIV transmission in the society.
Our Programs
Vihaan - CSC Project
The Vihaan project developed by Alliance India is based on the guidance provided by NACO for the care and support component of a well-synchronized treatment, care, and support-focused intervention; where treatment is managed by NACO (including that of O.Is) and care and support by civil society interventions. The strategy of implementation of the project is being completely revamped to ensure cost-effectiveness and appropriate services to the community, as well as to ensure integration within NACP IV at the end of the project. According to NACP IV, Care Support Centers (CSCs) will be set up across the country to respond to the care and support needs of PLHIV. A longer-term aim of the proposal is also to set up an enabled and competent system of civil society organizations and local government system partnerships that can take over care and support activities much beyond the project time frame.
Health Support
APPLE strongly believes that not only providing health services is not enough for the PLHIV family there is an internal link between counseling, Nutrition, then after Medical Care, and Health Education. In this context, the organization is providing counseling services to the needy on issues of health problems and other personal hygiene. APPLE has a home-based team with a doctor and ANM and counselor and also with a concerned field worker. The main objective of this approach is to create health awareness for positive people to take care of minor elements at home. After the initiation of this program the other PLHA family members are accepting the positive living and most importantly helping the infected person to lead a healthy life with a positive outlook. Our counselor visits PLHIV houses and conducts the nutrition demonstration program. The idea behind this is to prepare low-cost nutrition foods from locally available food items. Also, they provide medical assistance. Positive people in need of medical assistance are referred to various health clinics and Government Hospitals.

World AIDS Day
We organized a rally from Indore stadium through main road to fire station center and then went to court center and reached the stadium platform through SBI lane. Our NGO President talks about HIV and takes precautions through awareness programs like Kalajatha in every village.11-Dec-2021
Raviteja Nutrition Program
We have gathered 50 children CLHIV Clients from different places in our district to take the Nutrition at Raviteja Infected & Affected Children Home, Raja Rajeswari Nagar, Eluru. The director of Raviteja said that every month we had given this nutrition with support. of Donor and Gold Shop Owner Mr. Sankar Lal giving this nutrition through Ayika Raju Ravi Teja Children home Director. He assured us that he will support 50 infected children and give every month. He supported and assured lifetime to give nutrition and each child gets worth of 1000/- nutrition. And most of them come from poor families and they are very happy. Once again he said that he will continue this process for a lifetime.30-Apr-2021
ART-CSC Coordination Meeting
We conducted for ART CSC Coordination Meeting at Eluru ART Center. Senior Medical Officer Mrs. Sailaja; Medical Officer Mr. U.V. N Sastry presided over this meeting. All the APPLE Vihaan staff under working of this ART is attended. And also all ART Staff participated in this meeting. First of all, the Doctor asked for all kinds (5) of us feed back from Out Reach Workers wise. They gave to be-initiated cases, Miss Cases, Lost follow-up cases, newly or initiated cases, and less than 80% ART Adherence cases for this month. Firstly ask for ORW-wise data and review in-depth about lfus because more cases are having Incorrect Addresses. We said that we have also verified with white cards at the Center, but that also the same address will be there. After that, they asked To be initiated case 2 given by them, for one case put the medicine, and in another case, they said their family problem, and they came back when they were free from the family work.Our Impact
It is the small change that makes the biggest impact.
